Post: Tinubu Officially Appoints Abel Enitan as Head of Civil Service

Abuja: President Bola Tinubu on Thursday swore in Mr Abel Enitan as the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF). Enitan succeeds Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, who retired from the Federal Civil Service after reaching the statutory retirement age of 60.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the swearing-in ceremony took place at the State House, Abuja, and was attended by Mr Temitope Fashedemi, the Permanent Secretary of the State House, along with other senior government officials. Enitan’s appointment as HCSF was announced by the Presidency on August 19, with the position taking effect from August 27.

Prior to his new role, Enitan served as the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and was the most senior Permanent Secretary in the Federal Civil Service. Enitan, who is from Osun, has accumulated seven years and seven months of experience as a Permanent Secretary.

Throughout his career, Enitan held positions at the Ministry of Police Affairs, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Office of the Vice President, and Federal Ministry of Education.
