Abuja: Rep. Eugene Dibiagwu, representing the Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency of Imo, has commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his achievements in Imo State over the past five years. This praise was made during Dibiagwu’s appearance on the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Personality Interview Series.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker highlighted the strong relationship between Abuja-based politicians from Imo and Governor Uzodimma, attributing it to the governor’s impressive performance. Dibiagwu emphasized that Uzodimma, who serves as the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, has significantly contributed to infrastructural development in the state, resulting in a period of peace.
Dibiagwu referenced a recent visit by President Bola Tinubu, during which a notable flyover constructed under Uzodimma’s administration was inaugurated. He remarked on the transformation of previously hazardous roads, such as the Owerri-Orlu Road, into safe and well-furnished routes. Similar improvements have been made on the Owerri-Okigwe and Owerri-Umuahia roads.
The lawmaker expressed admiration for Governor Uzodimma’s ongoing commitment to development, noting the rarity of such dedication from second-term governors. Dibiagwu cited ongoing projects like the Orashi Power Plant, which promises to end power outages in the state, and the construction of a premier international conference center.
Dibiagwu concluded by asserting that the governor’s achievements have fostered political harmony among Imo politicians in Abuja, underscoring the alignment that occurs when a leader effectively serves the people’s interests.
