Abuja: Director-General of APC Presidential Campaign Council, Sen. Abdul’aziz Yari, emphasized the crucial role of youths in communicating President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across Nigeria. A statement issued by Yari’s media office highlighted his remarks during a visit from Seyi Tinubu, the Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande, and youth mobilisation advocates in Abuja.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Yari underscored that young Nigerians are not only the future but also the present of the country. He stated that they are essential in effectively communicating the government’s achievements across various communities. ‘If we are going to tell the story of this administration’s achievements, our youths will carry that message farthest, fastest and most convincingly,’ Yari remarked.
The director-general discussed his meeting with Seyi Tinubu, which focused on building bridges and emphasized his dedication to youth empowerment as the energy needed by the campaign. He mentioned the council’s efforts not just in encouraging young Nigerians to vote but also in inspiring them to become ambassadors of the Renewed Hope narrative in their communities.
Yari revealed that the council is finalizing a nationwide youth outreach framework that leverages social media, community networks, and grassroots structures to amplify achievements and counter misinformation. ‘Every young Nigerian with a phone and a voice is a messenger. Our job is to equip them with platforms to communicate authentically,’ he added.
Yari expressed gratitude to Seyi Tinubu for his visit and commitment to youth empowerment and acknowledged the minister’s partnership on youth engagement initiatives and grassroots mobilisation efforts nationwide. Seyi Tinubu stated that the purpose of the visit was to congratulate Yari on his appointment as the campaign council director-general and to strengthen collaboration between the council and youth-focused stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
