Post: Bishop Stephen Adegbite Celebrates 38 Years of Service to God at 58


Abuja: The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, highlighted his lifelong commitment to serving God as he marked his 58th birthday. During a thanksgiving event held at the commission’s headquarters, Adegbite shared that out of his 58 years, 38 have been dedicated to divine service.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Adegbite described his role as Executive Secretary as a privilege, allowing him to further serve God, support national growth, and promote unity within the Christian community. He credited his achievements to divine grace and expressed gratitude towards his wife, Princess Adewunmi Fadeke, his family, and NCPC staff for their unwavering support.



The cleric extended his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, especially acknowledging the First Lady for her personal birthday wishes. Adegbite called for religious harmony, peace, and national stability, urging NCPC staff to see their roles as opportunities to make a positive impact.



He noted that the pilgrimage exercises conducted during his tenure had been spiritually rewarding and announced that preparations for the next exercise would begin soon. Former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, also spoke at the event, congratulating Adegbite and commending his dedication to God and the nation. She offered prayers for his continued strength and protection.



The celebration featured prayers, goodwill messages, gift presentations, and the cutting of an anniversary cake, attended by management staff, family, and friends. Adegbite holds additional roles as the Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel, Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and Chairman of the Southern Christian Leaders Assembly.
