Post: BPP Pledges Transparency, Accountability in Public Procurement


Abuja: The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has reiterated its commitment to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda through the promotion of transparency, efficiency, value for money, and accountability in public procurement. The Director-General of the BPP, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, stated this in a Democracy Day goodwill message to President Bola Tinubu.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Adedokun emphasized that the bureau would continue to strengthen public procurement systems to ensure that public resources are effectively utilized for the benefit of Nigerians. As the regulatory authority for public procurement, the BPP remains committed to supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda and promoting transparency, efficiency, value for money, and accountability to ensure maximum benefit to Nigerians.



Adedokun also congratulated President Tinubu on the occasion of Democracy Day 2026, describing it as an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s democratic journey and the progress made in strengthening democratic institutions. He commended Tinubu’s commitment to good governance, institutional reforms, and sustainable national development, noting that the administration’s policies had renewed confidence in the country’s future.



Under the President’s leadership, Nigeria continues to pursue reforms that enhance transparency, accountability, and economic growth. The administration’s focus on institutional strengthening and public sector transformation has renewed confidence in the nation’s future, Adedokun said.



Adedokun reaffirmed the bureau’s support for the administration and pledged continued collaboration towards building a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient nation. He prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom, strength, and good health for the President as he continues to lead the country.
