Lagos: Some business experts and entrepreneurs on Saturday in Lagos converged to equip participants with the knowledge, legal frameworks, and growth strategies needed to build, protect and scale their businesses. The experts also discussed the importance of the ‘God-factor,’ integrity, adaptability, humility, and uniqueness in achieving successful businesses and fulfilling lives.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, they spoke at the maiden edition of Ascend 360, a conference organised by a law firm, Blaque Swann, for entrepreneurs and individuals from other walks of life. The theme of the event was ‘Build, Protect, Grow.’
Speaking at the event, the convener and lawyer, Mrs Titilope Adisa-Obafemi, said Ascend 360 was born out of a desire to educate people further. She emphasized the importance of infusing a spiritual perspective into business practices, stating that everyone is building something, whether as entrepreneurs, family people, or career professionals. Adisa-Obafemi stressed the need to understand how to build, protect, and grow these endeavors.
One of the keynote speakers, Mrs Tomike Adeoye, addressed the topic of ‘Integrated Life: Building a Thriving Career and Business Through Motherhood and Multiple Roles.’ As an influencer and brand ambassador for major companies, Adeoye shared her personal experiences managing multiple roles. She highlighted the lack of a true balance and advised mothers to prioritize themselves as a crucial step in building something great.
Another keynote speaker, Pastor Tunde Adisa, discussed ‘The Unseen Foundation: Building with Faith, Vision and Discipline.’ He emphasized the necessity of a solid foundation to excel in business and life, outlining five principles for building one’s life, including resolving identity issues, spiritual growth, self-assessment, and exertion to change life outcomes.
A participant, Miss Deborah Dario, expressed gratitude for the event, stating that she left with renewed energy and inspiration to build, protect, and grow her business. She noted that the event provided her with new ideas, connections, and the mindset to elevate her business.
