Abuja: Mr Mohammed Ndarani, (SAN) has expressed his sympathies to Governor Umar Bago of Niger concerning the recent abduction of students from St. Mary’s Private Catholic School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area, urging Nigerians to offer their support.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ndarani labeled the incident as both heartbreaking and unacceptable, highlighting the substantial investments made by the state government in bolstering security and community protection. He extended his sympathies to the Federal Government following the kidnapping of 25 students from a Comprehensive Secondary School in Kebbi State, emphasizing that such attacks on educational institutions pose a significant threat to national stability and educational progress.
Ndarani called on Nigerians to aid security agencies by providing valuable information and to engage in continuous prayers for the nation. He stressed that overcoming insecurity is a collective endeavor requiring vigilance and divine intervention. He urged c
ollaboration among the government, security agencies, traditional institutions, and citizens to put an end to these distressing incidents.
He further appealed to religious leaders to amplify prayers for divine intervention in Nigeria’s socio-economic and political matters. Ndarani acknowledged Governor Bago’s swift mobilization of security agencies and coordinated rescue efforts as a testament to his dedication to protecting residents, especially schoolchildren. He noted that the governor’s actions have restored hope and confidence in the fight against insecurity.
Ndarani expressed optimism that the combined efforts of security agencies and the state government’s determination would lead to the safe rescue and reunion of the abducted students with their families. He also commended President Bola Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, for their intensified efforts to curb insecurity nationwide, particularly through intelligence-driven operations and enhanced inter-agency cooperation.
