Abuja:Edo: Governor Monday Okpebholo has called on residents of Egor and Oredo Local Government Areas to maintain their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the 2027 general elections approach.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Okpebholo made this appeal during his visits to these local government areas. He emphasized the importance of mobilizing party members and strengthening the APC’s presence in the state ahead of the elections.
The governor praised residents for their backing and electoral support for APC candidates in the recent local government elections. He encouraged them to extend their support to candidates contesting for Senate, House of Representatives, and Edo State House of Assembly seats in 2027, as well as for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, citing the administration’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate.
Okpebholo highlighted the enthusiastic turnout despite the rain, indicating strong support for the party and its candidates, including President Tinubu. He reit
erated the administration’s focus on growth and development for the state and party, aiming for 2.5 million votes for Tinubu in 2027.
Addressing infrastructure, the governor noted efforts to rehabilitate roads inherited from previous administrations, committing to making all roads in the state motorable as part of the reasons for their election.
Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa expressed gratitude to party members for their continued support and urged them to vote for APC candidates in the upcoming elections. Similarly, APC State Chairman Jarrett Tenebe lauded the party’s achievements in the local government elections and expressed confidence in reaching the 2.5 million vote target for Tinubu.
Local government chairmen Osaro Eribo and Gabriel Iduseri also appealed to residents to sustain their support for the APC and its candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
