Ikeja:Lagos Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, commonly known as Jandor, has inaugurated a political support group aimed at rallying support for President Bola Tinubu and Lagos governorship candidate Obafemi Hamzat in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the inauguration of the JANDOR Support Group for PBAT-KOH 2027 took place in Ikeja, drawing attention from APC leaders, local government chairmen, traditional rulers, and members of the Lagos4Lagos Movement. Adediran, the Lead Visioner of the group, emphasized that the initiative aligns with his earlier commitment to support the chosen APC governorship candidate following the party’s primary elections.
Adediran outlined that the group’s objective is to mobilize grassroots support for Tinubu, Hamzat, and other APC candidates. He clarified that the group’s efforts are complementary to, rather than competitive with, the main party campaign council. The support group includes an advisory council and coordinators at various levels, from state to polling units.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by his Chief of Staff, praised Adediran’s efforts in uniting his political base with the APC and highlighted the group’s potential to secure significant electoral support. Sanwo-Olu underscored the importance of engaging with local communities to convey the party’s programs and address residents’ concerns.
Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, and State APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, also commended Adediran for integrating his political structure with the APC, viewing it as a step towards strengthening democratic processes in Lagos. The event saw participation from various leaders and members of the Lagos4Lagos movement, as well as community figures.
