Post: Minister Alausa Calls for Unity and Education Focus on Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary


Abuja:The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, has called on Nigerians to uphold unity, patriotism, and shared responsibility as the nation celebrates its 66th Independence Anniversary. Highlighting the significance of the occasion, he urged citizens to reflect on Nigeria’s journey and renew their commitment to a peaceful, united, and prosperous nation.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Alausa emphasized the critical role of education in human capital development, social mobility, innovation, and sustainable national growth. He expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his leadership and support for the education sector.



The minister detailed the Federal Government’s efforts through the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI), which focuses on expanding educational access and strengthening institutions. The initiative aims to support learners, improve teacher quality, and promote technical and vocational education to equip young Nigerians with essential knowledge and skills.
