Post: NBCC Golf Tournament to Strengthen Nigerian-British Relations and Expand Business Opportunities

Lagos: The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) has urged business executives to embrace its 2025 golf tournament as a platform to deepen bilateral ties and expand business opportunities. The Chairman of the NBCC Golf Committee, Tayo Babalakin, made this call during a news conference on Wednesday in Lagos.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Babalakin announced that the tournament is scheduled for December 11 at the Ikoyi Golf Club in Lagos and will follow a stableford format. He highlighted golf as an ideal choice for business professionals, as it offers a calm and serene environment, contrasting the usual tension-filled settings they may encounter.

Babalakin emphasized that the event aims to bring together business leaders, investors, policymakers, and other key stakeholders in trade and investment. The goal is to strengthen relationships between Nigerian and British organizations, fostering opportunities for collaboration and growth.

He also noted that the tournament will serve as a social and networking platform to enhance business interactions among participants. “Participation would help companies consolidate brand loyalty among a captive audience of distinguished professionals and provide an avenue to engage key customers and golfing staff,” he stated.

The chamber announced Bi-Courtney Aviation Services as the headline sponsor, with support from gold sponsors such as Greenwich Merchant Bank, Weststar Associates Ltd. (Mercedes Benz), and MGE Realty Ltd., among others.
