Abuja: Arewa for Renewed Hope Agenda, a non-partisan advocacy group, says Nigeria deserves leaders whose decisions may be tough today but will lead to a better tomorrow. Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, the group’s chairman, Mr. Abu Misodi, highlighted the importance of leaders who are willing to promote long-term progress.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Misodi urged opposition parties to desist from the narration of hopelessness, alleging that nothing was working under President Bola Tinubu. He emphasized the importance of defending the progress being recorded by the Tinubu administration, asserting that truth matters in the portrayal of the nation’s development.
Misodi stated that Nigeria deserves leaders unafraid to make hard decisions, emphasizing that these decisions, although challenging now, will pave the way for a brighter future. He called for leadership that exhibits boldness, forward-thinking, and a commitment to truth and transformation, urging for the modernization of systems and the faith to act with integrity and vision.
He encouraged citizens to reject pessimism and embrace hope, suggesting that the country’s challenges could be overcome through shared effort and positive engagement. Misodi emphasized the need for a prosperous, inclusive society that benefits all regions and communities equally, advocating for unity, transparency, and a collective commitment to building a better future.
Misodi also invoked the dedication of Nigeria’s founding leaders to justice, dignity, and nation-building, urging current and future leaders to draw inspiration from their legacy. Emphasizing unity, peace, and progress as the foundations of Nigeria’s democratic journey, he called upon Nigerians to stand for truth, uplift communities, and work together toward a brighter future. He concluded with a message of hope, highlighting the responsibility of the current generation to renew and advance the nation.
