Abuja:The Forum of Chief Executives of Federal Government Agencies and Parastatals has proposed a technical structure to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in its 2027 campaign efforts.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, this proposal was detailed in a statement by Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the forum, following their meeting with APC leaders.
The forum’s delegation, led by Chairman Dr. Kazeem Raji, met with the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and the National Working Committee members. Dr. Raji emphasized that the forum serves as a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among government agency heads, aiming to promote coordination and idea exchange for national development.
Dr. Raji highlighted the commitment of forum members to the country’s progress and stability, noting the importance of effectively communicating government achievements to the public. He expressed the forum’s readiness to work with stakeholders to improve public understanding of government programs.
Ajiboye outlined potential areas where the forum could contribute, such as election planning, grassroots mobilisation, and media management. He clarified that the forum’s goal is to complement, not compete with, the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), by providing additional technical support.
Ajiboye noted the difference in communication strategies required for the 2027 campaign, which will focus on the administration’s accomplishments rather than campaign promises. He stressed the importance of identifying communication gaps and strengthening campaign messaging.
Prof. Yilwatda welcomed the initiative, acknowledging the potential contributions of chief executives in political communication and grassroots engagement. He highlighted the significance of grassroots mobilisation and expressed the party’s willingness to engage with the forum for the 2027 elections.
The forum had previously declared its support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, pledging to mobilize 10 million votes using its professional and community networks across the country.
