Post: President Tinubu Receives Blessings from Oba of Lagos

Lagos:President Bola Tinubu visited the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, at the Iga Idunganran Palace on Lagos Island.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the President’s visit included receiving royal prayers and guidance from the traditional ruler, which were aimed at supporting his administration. The visit was marked by a warm reception from the royal household and enthusiastic residents.

Supporters, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and well-wishers lined the streets of Marina and Isale Eko, creating a festive atmosphere as the President’s motorcade approached. The gathering expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation for Tinubu’s presence in Lagos.

During the visit, Oba Akiolu offered prayers for the President, his administration, and the nation, asking for divine guidance, peace, and prosperity. The traditional ruler also provided counsel on national matters and the wellbeing of Nigerians, highlighting the importance of dialogue between traditional institutions and the Federal Government.

Accompanying President Tinubu were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, APC stalwarts, political associates, and other dignitaries. This visit was part of Tinubu’s ongoing engagements with key figures and stakeholders following his return to Lagos from a working vacation.

The meeting with Oba Akiolu reinforced the strong relationship between the presidency and traditional institutions in Lagos.
