Abuja: The Accord Party has expressed confidence that the party’s governorship candidate in the Aug. 15 Osun election, Gov. Ademola Adeleke, will secure between 90 per cent and 95 per cent of the votes. The Lagos State Chairman of the Accord Party, Mr. Dele Oladeji, spoke during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Oladeji emphasized that Gov. Adeleke’s victory is certain due to the governor’s total acceptance by both the voting public and members and leaders of other parties. He stated that the people are expected to vote for Adeleke because of his people-oriented policies. Despite the violence some individuals are perpetrating, Oladeji remains confident that Adeleke will win the election.

Oladeji also condemned reported incidents of campaign violence in the state ahead of the election. He expressed that such actions will not deter the anticipated success of their candidate, underscoring the party’s commitment to a peaceful election process.

Furthermore, Oladeji, who is also the Accord Party’s Lagos West Senatorial candidate for the 2027 general elections, expressed confidence in his own victory in the senatorial election. He noted optimism due to the analysis of eligible voter data in Lagos West, revealing that 60 to 70 per cent of the voters are youth. He emphasized the need to reach out to the youth, highlighting that he represents their demographic in the political landscape.
