Abuja: The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has called on the Federal Government to adopt strategies that would maximise the benefits of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) extension. The ACCI president emphasized that capabilities developed through AGOA should enable Nigerian businesses to expand into the African Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA) and other international markets.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the ACCI president reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to collaborate with the government, private-sector operators, financial institutions, and development partners to build a competitive export economy. He urged stakeholders to ensure that the AGOA extension does not become another missed opportunity for Nigeria, describing it as a national export imperative.
