Marrakech: The Super Eagles have landed at the Marrakech-Menara Airport ahead of their crucial 2025 AFCON quarter-final match against Algeria’s Desert Foxes. The team arrived at approximately 4:14 p.m. on Thursday after a flight lasting one hour and 14 minutes from F¨s-Sas Airport.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the Super Eagles are staying at the Savoy Le Grand Hotel in Marrakech. Promise Efoghe, the team’s Media Officer, confirmed the safe arrival and noted that the focus has now shifted to recovery and preparation for the upcoming match. “We had a smooth trip from F¨s despite the tight schedule, and the focus now is on recovery and preparation,” Efoghe stated.
All media engagements scheduled for Thursday were postponed to ensure the players received adequate rest, as requested by the team members. “Given the late arrival, the players requested time to rest, and we urge everyone to respect that decision,” Efoghe added. He also assured that updates on the team’s schedule would be communicated promptly.
The Super Eagles are set to train at the Grande Stade Annex 2 at 6 p.m., although the timing is still tentative. Media access to the training session will be limited to the mandatory 15 minutes, in accordance with competition regulations.
