Lagos: Pastor Foluke Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has been appointed as the Chancellor of Caleb University, Imota, Lagos State. Her appointment was confirmed by the university’s Governing Council, as stated by the institution’s media officer, Mr. Olawale Adekoya.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Adeboye’s appointment was formalized on February 21, following her receipt of an honorary Doctor of Humanity (Honoris Causa) during Caleb University’s 15th convocation ceremony on February 18. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, remarked that the chancellorship signifies a new era where scholarship meets spirituality. He emphasized that Adeboye’s leadership would reinforce the institution’s guiding principles.
Prof. Asikhia highlighted that Pastor Foluke Adeboye’s influence extends beyond her role as a global spiritual leader’s partner, describing her as an institutional builder and a counselor to nations. Her honorary doctorate was a testament to her lifelong dedication to education, youth mentorship, and moral formation.
