Lokoja: The Executive Chairman of the Kogi Civil Service Commission, Mr. Muhammed Tanko, has commended Governor Ahmed Ododo for his humane disposition towards civil servants in the state. Tanko made this commendation while addressing members of the staff of the commission, highlighting the governor’s commitment to the welfare of state employees.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Tanko noted that the recent approval of cash-backing for promotions for civil servants in the state was a significant step forward. “Today, we celebrate a major milestone in an effort to improve the welfare of the civil servants. The governor’s decision to put smiles on the faces of the civil servants is a testament to his unique style of leadership and commitment to the well-being of the workers,” Tanko stated.
The chairman also urged civil servants to reciprocate the governor’s gesture by working hard with absolute dedication and commitment to their duties. Mr. Tade Adeyemi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Civil Service Matters, echoed Tanko’s sentiments, thanking Governor Ododo for his dedication to the affairs of civil servants and urging state workers to see the gesture as an opportunity to double their efforts for the rapid transformation of the state.
Additionally, Mr. Fabian Shaibu, the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, expressed gratitude to the governor on behalf of the commission. He described Governor Ododo as the ‘Chief Servant indeed,’ emphasizing that the gesture extends beyond salary increments and signifies renewed hope in the management of state affairs.
