Kano: Senior Special Assistant to the President on Print Media, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, has asserted that the growing number of politicians joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) signifies a strong endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership and the strategic direction of his administration. Abdulaziz conveyed these remarks during a large gathering of APC supporters at a rally held in Fagge on Sunday.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Abdulaziz emphasized that President Tinubu’s inclusive approach has been instrumental in drawing members from various political parties and geographical regions. He proclaimed the APC as a unique symbol of unity in Nigeria, standing unparalleled in its ability to attract diverse political figures.
Abdulaziz noted the alignment of several Governors from the South-South with the APC and highlighted the party’s growing influence in the South-East, foreseeing further political defections. He dismissed the relevance of a newly formed opposition coalition, emphasizing that no current governor has joined its ranks.
Highlighting key economic initiatives, Abdulaziz pointed to ongoing road and rail projects, compensation for communities impacted by infrastructure development, and the introduction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a subsidy to reduce transportation costs. He cited the Sokoto-Badagry dual carriageway and extensive road construction in Northern states such as Kano, Niger, and Katsina as tangible evidence of the administration’s commitment to development.
The presidential aide reiterated that the president’s reforms aim to ensure long-term stability and shared prosperity for the nation. He concluded by expressing optimism that many Nigerians are beginning to experience the benefits of democracy, as evidenced by a growing sense of satisfaction among the populace.
