Abuja: The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has extended his felicitations to Muslims in Nigeria and across the diaspora on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, which commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Adegbite, through a statement released in Abuja by Celestine Toruka, Director of Media and Public Relations at NCPC, encouraged Muslims to emulate the virtues of the Prophet Muhammad and to refrain from actions that contradict His teachings. He urged the faithful to use the celebration as a time for deep spiritual reflection and self-examination, focusing on their lives and the exemplary deeds of the Prophet.
Adegbite highlighted the importance of dedicating the day to learning about the Prophet’s ideals, referring to Him as a guiding light and model for humanity. He also called upon Muslims to pray for President Bola Tinubu and other national leaders as the country prepares for future elections, expressing hope that peace and the will of God will prevail.
Furthermore, Adegbite advised Muslim clerics to continue offering sound spiritual guidance to their followers, promoting peace at all times. He reiterated the importance for Muslims to uphold the values of peace, love, harmony, dialogue, and patriotism throughout the country.
