Post: FAAC Allocates ?2.001 Trillion July Revenue to Federal, State, and Local Governments


Abuja: The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed a total of ?2.001 trillion in revenue for July 2025 to the Federal Government, States, and Local Government Councils. This announcement was made in Abuja by Bawa Mokwa, Press Secretary to the Accountant General of the Federation, following the FAAC meeting for August 2025.



According to Voice of Nigeria, the distributable revenue consists of ?1.282 trillion in statutory revenue, ?640.610 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), ?37.601 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and ?39.745 billion from Exchange Difference. Out of the total distribution, the Federal Government received ?735.081 billion, the States were allocated ?660.349 billion, Local Governments received ?485.039 billion, and oil-producing states were granted ?120.359 billion as 13% derivation.



The communiqu© further revealed that the gross revenue for July was ?3.836 trillion, which is a decrease of ?415.108 billion from the ?3.485 trillion recorded in June. Despite this decline, VAT collections increased to ?687.940 billion from ?678.165 billion in June.
