Post: FAAC Distributes ?2.001 Trillion July Revenue To Federal Government, States


Abuja: The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed a total of ?2.001 trillion from July 2025 revenue to the Federal Government, States, and Local Government Councils. This was announced by Bawa Mokwa, Press Secretary to the Accountant General of the Federation, following the FAAC meeting held in August 2025.



According to Voice of Nigeria, the distributable revenue included ?1.282 trillion from statutory revenue, ?640.610 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), ?37.601 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and ?39.745 billion from the Exchange Difference. The Federal Government received ?735.081 billion, the States received ?660.349 billion, Local Governments were allocated ?485.039 billion, while oil-producing states received ?120.359 billion as part of the 13% derivation formula.



The communiqu© also highlighted that the gross revenue for July was ?3.836 trillion, a decrease of ?415.108 billion compared to the ?3.485 trillion recorded in June. VAT collections, however, saw an increase, rising to ?687.940 billion from ?678.165 billion in June.
