Post: FCT Secretariat Pledges Continued Support for Girls’ Education

Abuja: The FCT Secretariat has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting girls’ education, highlighting the importance of inclusive and equitable education policies. The continued dedication of the FCT Secondary Education Board (SEB), partners, and teachers was appreciated for their role in promoting these educational values.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Mr. Caesar Akudike, the Focal Person of CSACEFA FCT, emphasized the significance of investing in girls’ education as a cornerstone for national development. He urged all stakeholders to maintain their efforts towards achieving gender equity. CSACEFA remains steadfast in its mission to enhance girls’ rights, leadership, and participation through education, policy advocacy, and community outreach, particularly focusing on girls in underserved and rural areas.

A motivational moment came from Oporo Precious, a student of Government Secondary School Gwarinpa, who encouraged her peers to be bold and courageous, and to actively oppose discrimination, asserting their leadership in all spheres.

NAN reports that CSACEFA is a national coalition of civil society organizations committed to ensuring inclusive, equitable, and quality education for Nigerian children. By collaborating with government entities, development partners, and communities, CSACEFA advocates for education policies that ensure access, gender equity, accountability, and improved learning outcomes across the nation.

Through grassroots efforts and community engagement, CSACEFA amplifies citizen voices to ensure that education is recognized as a right for every child, with a special focus on girls and those in underserved areas.
