Asaba: Fidson Healthcare PLC has donated a multi-million naira Theatre Pharmacy to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Asaba, Delta State. This generous contribution was officially inaugurated on Thursday, highlighting the company’s commitment to supporting healthcare facilities in the region.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the Commercial Director of Fidson Healthcare, Mr. Ola Ijimakin, expressed that the donation was made to acknowledge the significant efforts of FMC Asaba in providing healthcare services to the state’s residents. He emphasized that the facility’s dedication to saving lives was the primary reason for selecting this project as part of Fidson’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Mr. Ijimakin elaborated that the newly established pharmacy is specifically designed for the theatre, equipped with necessary drugs, a rest area, offices, and essential tools for efficient operation. He assured ongoing support from Fidson to ensure the facility remains up-to-date and functional.
Dr. Ekeneam Omo, the Medical Director of FMC, praised Fidson for their contribution and urged other partners to follow suit in enhancing healthcare delivery. He highlighted that the newly inaugurated pharmacy offers a larger space compared to the previous facility, promising improved value for doctors and patients.
Dr. Omonigho John-David, the FMC Director of Finance, also commended Fidson for their support, noting that the inauguration coincided with the medical director’s birthday, making it a moment of dual celebration. He remarked that the project will significantly enhance healthcare delivery at the hospital.
