Post: Foreign Ministry: Lebanese Community in Venezuela Safe After Earthquake

Baabda: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants announced that it is following up, through the Lebanese Embassy in Caracas, on the situation of the Lebanese community in Venezuela following the major earthquake that struck the country. The ministry expressed Lebanon’s deep sorrow and solidarity with Venezuela and its people, extending condolences to the victims’ families and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

According to National news agency – Lebanon, Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi instructed the embassy to provide all possible support to Lebanese nationals and maintain direct contact with them. He was informed that all Lebanese residents are safe, with no reported injuries, while the Lebanese Embassy building in Caracas sustained some material damage.

The ministry said it continues to closely monitor developments and remain in contact with the Lebanese community until the safety of all its members is fully confirmed.
