Kwali: Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Mr Nuhu Daniel, has hailed the completion of the Gomani-Dafa-Yangoji Road in the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as a pivotal achievement for agrarian communities in the region. Speaking at the inauguration of the road in Dafa, Mr Daniel emphasized that the road would unlock the agricultural potential of the surrounding communities.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the chairman highlighted that the newly completed road is set to transform the economic and agricultural landscape significantly. The road aims to ease the transportation challenges faced by farmers, enabling them to transport their produce to nearby markets more efficiently. Mr Daniel noted that this development would likely stimulate economic activities within the area.
The new infrastructure addresses longstanding accessibility issues that have affected local communities, especially farming villages and students. Prior to the road’s completion, a vulnerable bridge near Tungan Sarki often isolated communities during the rainy season. Mr Daniel recounted the difficulties faced, such as seasonal flooding disrupting daily life and hindering commerce and education.
The road’s completion serves as evidence of President Bola Tinubu’s administration fulfilling its governance promises. Mr Daniel expressed optimism about the broader economic growth potential, anticipating that benefits would extend beyond Kwali Area Council to impact the entire territory. He also mentioned that the improved road network would foster a conducive environment for businesses and create more job opportunities within the region.
