Abuja: The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory Council, Ms. Grace Ike, has described her recent Humanitarian and Service Award from All Saints Catholic Church as an invitation to further her contributions to society.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ike expressed her gratitude in a statement released in Abuja, where she thanked God and the All Saints Catholic Church for the honor. The award, presented by the church’s Laity Council, was received with humility and seen as a call to continue her service to humanity and the field of journalism.
‘It is not just an award; it is an invitation to do more. I pledge to continue serving humanity and advancing the cause of journalism with humility and dedication, by God’s grace,” Ike stated, emphasizing her commitment to her work.
She also expressed appreciation to the organisers for recognizing her efforts and highlighted that the accolade was not taken lightly. The award was dedicated to God and to all members of the NUJ-FCT Council.
