Post: Iheanacho Leads Celtic to Scottish League Triumph

Glasgow: Super Eagles Striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, has won the Scottish League with Celtic after his side defeated Hearts FC 3-1 to emerge Champions of Scotland for the 56th time.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Celtic entered the crucial final-day match against top-of-the-table Hearts FC with 79 points, needing a victory to secure the league title. The game started tensely, with Hearts FC taking the lead in the 42nd minute through Shankland’s goal, which sent the home fans into celebration.

Celtic, however, quickly responded and levelled the game just before halftime with a well-taken penalty by Engels. The match remained tightly contested until the late stages when Martin O’Neill’s men clinched victory with goals from Meada and Osmand in the 86th and 97th minutes, respectively.

Kelechi Iheanacho, a former Leicester City Striker, played a pivotal role in the title-deciding match. Coming off the bench, he nearly scored, hitting the woodwork with a powerful effort. Iheanacho’s contributions in the previous game against Motherwell were crucial, as his 97-minute penalty secured a 3-2 win, leaving Celtic just one point behind Hearts FC before the final match.
