Post: Israel Launches ‘Preemptive’ Strike on Iran

Tel aviv: Israeli Defense Minister Israel Kartz has announced that Israel has initiated a ‘preemptive’ strike against Iran. Explosions reverberated through Tehran on Saturday night, accompanied by thick smoke rising over various parts of the city.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, sirens echoed across Israel, which declared a ‘special and immediate’ state of emergency throughout the nation. This state of emergency includes a prohibition on educational activities, gatherings, and workplaces, except for essential sectors, in response to the escalating tensions.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the attack was a joint operation between the U.S. and Israel. The strikes occur amidst ongoing diplomatic efforts between U.S. and Iranian officials to reach an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program. Badr Albusaidi, Oman’s foreign minister, who has been mediating the negotiations, met with U.S. Vice President JD Vance on Friday. Albusaidi expressed gratitude for the engagement and anticipation for further progress in the coming days.
