Post: Kaduna Council Boss Lauds Gov. Sani’s Commitment to Education


Kaduna: The Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Council of Kaduna State, Mr. Peter Tanko, has commended Gov. Uba Sani for his commitment to the development of the education sector in the state. Tanko gave the commendation while inspecting ongoing renovation and construction works at the Kaduna State University (KASU), Kafanchan Campus. He described the governor’s intervention in repositioning the institution as a clear demonstration of the priority his administration placed on education.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, the chairman expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work across key facilities, including the library, hostels, and multipurpose hall. Tanko emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards and delivering a solid job without compromise, as these facilities are expected to serve students for many years. He also highlighted that this project reflects the governor’s sustained commitment to impactful development in Jema’a Local Government.



Tanko also called for increased student admissions and staffing at the Kafanchan campus to complement the improved infrastructure. The College Secretary, Badung Kumai, who led the inspection tour on behalf of the Administrator, Prof. Hauwa’u Yusuf, stated that the project marked the first major renovation at the campus in over 14 years. Kumai noted that the ongoing work would significantly enhance teaching and learning conditions, revitalizing the campus.



In their separate remarks, Mr. Amos Samaila, Jema’a APC Chairman, and Mr. Armstrong Maichibi, Majority Leader of the Jema’a Legislative Council, praised Gov. Sani for the attention given to the area. They pledged continued support for the administration and expressed optimism that the electorate would reciprocate the governor’s efforts.



Also speaking, the campus student leader, Mato Hillary, mentioned that the improved learning environment would positively impact students’ academic performance. He urged students to make proper use of the facilities and ensure they are well maintained to prevent deterioration.
