The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has denied any involvement in an alleged contract for the supply of drugs to the state’s 44 Local Government Councils.
The Governor directed the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) to investigate the matter thoroughly.
This was made known in a statement jointly signed by the Commissioner for Information, Baba Dantiye and the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature.
‘The Governor instructed the Executive Chairman of the PCACC to immediately launch an investigation into the allegation and report the findings for further necessary action,’ the statement read.
Governor Yusuf also called on the people of Kano State to remain patient as the investigation unfolds, emphasizing that the inquiry aims to uncover the truth and uphold transparency and accountability in the state’s governance.
‘This swift action underscores the Governor’s commitment to good governance and his resolve to get to the bottom of the matter,’ the statement concluded
