Post: Kwara Assembly Speaker Reiterates Commitment to Welfare of Constituents


The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has reiterated his commitment to seeing to the welfare, well-being and total productive living of his constituents.

The Speaker, affirmed this during a routine visit to the people of Ilesha/Gwanara district comprising Bwen/Kiyoru and Kpura/Yakira wards in his constituency in Baruten local government area of the state.

While addressing the crowd which included stakeholders from different communities in the wards, among whom are; traditional rulers, youths, politicians and a good number of prominent individuals, the speaker, said his routine visit hangs on the fact that their thoughts, concerns and feedbacks are invaluable, which necessitated periodical meetings.

He said meetings of this nature has helped him to be aware and grounded in his desire to address every pressing issues of the people in the 10th House of Assembly, which he is currently presiding over.

The Speaker, promised to do more in operating an inclusive representation for the
people of the community and beyond.

Danladi used the forum to enjoin the people to do more in support of the government of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as a way of showing appreciation to the good works his administration has done and is still doing which includes the presence of both federal and state infrastructural projects in the local government area.

He also implored the people of the area to be law abiding and take the issue of security as a necessity that should be the concern of all.

The Speaker applauded the commitments and supports from the traditional rulers and political stakeholders in the area, urging them to continue the grassroots cooperation they are offering to the current administration.

Local government elections

Speaking on the forthcoming September 21 local government elections in the State, Danladi appealed to the people of his Constituency to come out in their large numbers and vote for the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in ensuring total victory of the party.

He p
raised the understanding and maturity of various stakeholders in the choice of the party’s candidates for the forthcoming local government elections in their wards.

Responding to the remarks of the Lawmaker, various speakers at the forum applauded him for always carrying them along in the developmental projects going on in the state.

They assured the Speaker of their total support to the state governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the party leadership and promised that they would come out in their large numbers and participate and as well vote for the APC in the local government elections.
