Ilorin: The Speaker of the Kwara House of Assembly, Mr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Sheikh Khaleefah Akoshile, the Grand Khalifa of the Tijaniyah movement in Lagos State, as he marks his 77th birthday. Akoshile holds prominent positions as a member of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) and the Amirul-Mumini of Oro Kingdom in Kwara.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Danladi-Salihu’s commendation of Akoshile highlights the cleric’s significant contributions to the promotion and development of Islamic teachings and spiritual awakening, particularly through his leadership role in the Tijaniyah movement. The Speaker’s statement, released in Ilorin by the Chief Press Secretary Mr. Abdulkadir Yusuf, underscores Akoshile’s respected status as an Islamic scholar, emphasizing his dedication to fostering peace, unity, and spiritual growth within the community.
