Post: Lagos Lawmaker Rallies Support for Tinubu’s Re-election


Lagos: A Lagos State lawmaker and other political stakeholders from Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 1 have pledged their support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. At a stakeholders’ meeting titled ‘Renewed Hope Easter Fiesta in Lagos’, Mr. Temitope Adewale, who represents the constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, expressed his support for the President’s re-election, citing Tinubu’s achievements and policies as reasons for backing him.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Adewale emphasized the commitment of the constituency to support the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He stated, “We are here in support of the President and his Renewed Hope Agenda. We want Ifako-Ijaiye 1 to deliver the highest number of votes in Lagos State.” Adewale highlighted the importance of continuity in the President’s administration beyond 2027 to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda, positioning Tinubu strongly for a second term.



Adewale outlined several achievements by the Lagos State Government in the constituency, including the construction of a stadium and the rehabilitation of 90 roads. He also mentioned welfare packages, medical outreaches, education support, widows’ empowerment, and skill acquisition initiatives in the community as part of the government’s efforts.



The lawmaker urged members of the constituency to register and collect their permanent voter cards to participate in the next elections. The News Agency of Nigeria further reported that Adewale distributed more than 500 50kg bags of rice, chickens, and money to his constituency members. Mr. Kamorudeen Sunmonu, a former Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, praised Adewale for his gesture and encouraged him to continue supporting his constituency members.
