Post: Makinde-Daura Campaign Committee Launched with Focus on Grassroots Mobilization


Abuja:The Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation (MDPCO) has inaugurated its National Campaign Management Committee (NCMC), highlighting the importance of grassroots mobilization to secure the votes of Nigeria’s 103 million registered voters.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, Alhaji Lawal Daura, the vice-presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), emphasized the critical nature of the upcoming elections, which are just 100 days away. He called for a national reset as the only viable solution to Nigeria’s challenges, suggesting that every aspect of the country’s systems needs reevaluation and potential change.



Daura also addressed the historic voter registration numbers, cautioning against attempts to manipulate the electoral process. He assured that the committee is prepared to protect the votes in accordance with the Electoral Act, warning those considering electoral malpractice of an unpleasant surprise.



The recruitment strategy for the committee prioritizes individuals with strong track records of success. Daura expressed confidence in the team, seeking members who demonstrate boldness, focus, and determination to succeed without accepting failure.



APM National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle, urged the committee to concentrate on securing victory for the party’s joint ticket in 2027. He highlighted the need for unity in managing internal differences to prove the coalition’s capability to govern the nation. Dantalle stressed the importance of diverse social, religious, and political backgrounds among members and the necessity of peaceful conflict resolution as a testament to the coalition’s governance capacity.



Dantalle also emphasized the need for the inauguration to translate into effective field operations, calling for synergy with established party organs to maximize electoral success. He congratulated the committee members but reminded them that the true measure of success would be electoral victory.



Mr. Felix Hyat, the Director-General of the committee, assured the party’s leadership of the committee’s commitment and professionalism. He expressed confidence in the presidential candidate’s security expertise and governance record, urging northern youths to avoid supporting perennial candidates and to focus on candidates capable of delivering results.



Hyat concluded by urging citizens to reject divisive politics and encouraging young people to protect their future by voting wisely in the 2027 general elections.
