In a heartfelt message celebrating this year’s Maulud Nabiyy, the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr. Somtochukwu Udeze, has called on Nigerians to embrace love, unity, and peaceful coexistence, regardless of their religious affiliations.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Emma Madu, Udeze extended his warm wishes to the Muslim community, emphasising the importance of upholding values and practices that foster harmony, growth, and development within the nation.
Udeze praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for creating an enabling environment that allows the Muslim community in Anambra State to practice their faith freely while contributing to the local economy.
He urged Muslims to collaborate with the Governor in promoting peace, security, and robust support for the Soludo administration.
Noting the compatibility of Islamic and Christian teachings against violence, Udeze encouraged Muslim leaders to use this festive occasion to denounce violence, corruption, nepotism, and rel
igious intolerance-all of which pose significant threats to national unity.
Wishing the Muslim community a joyous Eid-El-Maulud celebration, Udeze urged them to prioritise the overall development of Nigeria and the well-being of its citizens.
