Beirut: Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian, met with Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, at Dar al-Fatwa to discuss the prevailing situation in Lebanon and the broader region.
According to National news agency – Lebanon, the meeting focused on the latest developments affecting both Lebanon and the region, exploring a range of issues of mutual interest. During the discussions, Ambassador Al-Dosari shared greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The Saudi leaders expressed their hopes for Lebanon’s sustained stability, security, and prosperity.
Mufti Derian extended his wishes for Ambassador Al-Dosari’s success in his new role in Lebanon. He emphasized the importance of the enduring historical ties between Dar Al-Fatwa and Saudi Arabia, expressing a desire to strengthen these connections further across multiple domains. Additionally, Mufti Derian commended Saudi Arabia for its supportive stance towards Lebanon and its commitment to the wider Arab and Islamic communities.
