Abuja: The Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Ali M. Ali, has commended the retiring Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) Director, Mr. Kayode Olaitan, highlighting his service as impactful and highly valued. This commendation was made during a reception in Olaitan’s honor, where management and staff gathered to pay tribute to his nearly two decades of dedication to the agency.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ali praised Olaitan’s institutional memory, depth of experience, and quiet mentorship, emphasizing their continued relevance in the future. Ali encouraged Olaitan to remain connected with the agency, expressing that his service was invaluable and urging him not to hesitate to reach out whenever necessary.
The Editor-in-Chief of NAN, Mufutau Ojo, also spoke at the event, emphasizing that Olaitan’s defining attribute was his character rather than his position. Ojo remarked that as Olaitan transitions into the next chapter of his life, his greatest asset remains his character, which has always been more significant than his title or profession.
