The Nigerian Army has relieved the immediate past Commander of 3 Brigade Kano, Brigadier General MA Sadiq of command to ensure a thorough investigation into allegations against him.
An update by the Director of Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu said the Commander is currently undergoing a military investigation into administrative discrepancies while he was Commander of 3 Brigade.
The Nigerian Army said as a self-regulatory institution founded on the bedrock of discipline, justice, and accountability, it has zero tolerance for indiscipline and will not condone any form of misconduct or illicit actions or inactions that could undermine the threshold of its values and principles.
The Nigerian Army has therefore assured both its internal and external publics that the allegations will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate administrative action will be taken.
It expressed its commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and its transparency remains unwavering.
It also
guaranteed the public that ‘the process would be fair, impartial, and in line with our established procedures.’
