Abuja: Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has prayed for a world filled with peace, standing firm against the provocations of war. She made the remark when she received in audience the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria, Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, in her office.
According to Voice of Nigeria, the First Lady reacted to recent attacks in Doha, the capital of Qatar, calling for more understanding among nations of the world. She noted that peace, as advocated by major religions, is close to the heart of God. The visit of the Ambassador, which was held behind closed doors, aimed to explore how to strengthen the partnership between the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative and Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development in Doha. The focus was particularly on promoting the Almajiri system of education and addressing the issue of out-of-school children.
In his remarks, Ambassador Ali Bin Al-Hajri expressed gratitude to the First Lady and the people of Nigeria for their support and their call for global peace during this difficult time. He emphasised that Nigeria remains dear to the State of Qatar.
