Akure: The Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) announced that it generated N28.1 billion in revenue during the first six months of 2025. Acting Chairman of ODIRS, Mr. Bayo Rojugbokan, shared this information on Monday, emphasizing the service’s dedication to maintaining transparency, accountability, and supporting the state’s revenue growth in line with global standards.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Mr. Rojugbokan assured the people of Ondo State that ODIRS is committed to enhancing revenue generation, which is crucial for the sustainable development of the state. He highlighted that the revenue figure, as published on the Joint Tax Board (JTB) portal, contradicts a viral publication claiming that the state generated only N22.5 billion during the same period.
Mr. Rojugbokan addressed the misleading reports circulating on social media and other online platforms regarding the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the first half of 2025. He clarified that the information in these reports is incorrect and urged the public and stakeholders to verify information from credible and official sources before sharing it further.
