Cape Town: Pan African Visions (www.PanAfricanVisions.com) magazine has announced the release of a special edition titled “AEW at 5 – From Vision to Global Energy Leader,” commemorating the fifth anniversary of African Energy Week (AEW). Launched by the African Energy Chamber in 2021, AEW has emerged as Africa’s largest energy event, generating billions in potential deals and drawing top global industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to Cape Town annually.
According to African Press Organization, the special edition includes profiles of key energy figures such as Wale Tinubu of OANDO and Maxime Ominga of SNPC, and features interviews with experts like Nikki Martin of EnerGEO and Jude Kearney of Asafo. AEW has become a pivotal platform showcasing Africa’s resources, talent, and vision in the energy sector, as highlighted by NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the AEC, who stated that AEW has demonstrated Africa’s capabilities to the world.
The magazine also highlights influential figures such as Gwede Mantashe, South Africa’s energy authority, and Jean-Richard Itoua, who is championing Congo’s energy future. Other notable mentions include Nigeria’s President Tinubu’s energy vision, Foday Mansaray’s roadmap for Sierra Leone’s first oil, and Omar Ibrahim Farouk’s strategic vision for the African Energy Board.
Furthermore, the edition showcases companies like Dietsmann, which is expanding Africa’s energy footprint, and Forvis Mazars, known for innovation and insight in Africa’s energy growth. AEW 2025 is scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 3 in Cape Town, South Africa, and is expected to surpass previous attendance records.
