Post: President Aoun Reaffirms Commitment to Lebanese Rights and Unity

Baabda: Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos announced, after the Cabinet session at Baabda Palace, that President Joseph Aoun “reaffirmed his commitment to upholding rights, unity, and solidarity among the Lebanese, stressing that this is the strongest weapon at our disposal and that it is our duty to continue addressing the situation of the displaced.”

According to National news agency – Lebanon, Minister Morcos added that President Aoun “further emphasized that if security stability is achieved, it will pave the way for the return of expatriates and tourists, which requires ministries and the concerned administrations to be fully prepared to keep pace with this anticipated increase in activity.”

Minister Morcos also noted that “the Minister of Public Health presented the preventive measures being taken to prevent the entry of the Ebola virus and confirmed that no cases have been recorded in Lebanon.”

Morcos also pointed out that “the Minister of Telecommunications stressed the need not to prejudge the judicial investigation into the warehouse fire in Dekwaneh,” affirming that the results will be announced as soon as the investigation is concluded.
