A statement from the Ministry revealed that the nation’s air defense systems are actively responding to the incoming threat. Citizens, residents, and visitors have been urged to stay calm, follow official instructions from security authorities, and refrain from spreading rumors.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the Doha-based Al Jazeera channel has reported that loud explosions were heard in the skies over Qatar’s capital. As of now, there have been no immediate reports of casualties.
The missile interceptions coincide with a significant offensive initiated by Israel and the U.S. against Iran since Saturday, resulting in the deaths of at least 926 people, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several top military officials. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries harboring U.S. military assets.
