Accra: The All Regions Queen Mothers Association has condemned the actions of a Russian national, Mr. Viacheslav Trahow, who reportedly filmed his sexual encounters with Ghanaian women and circulated the content online.
According to Ghana News Agency, a statement signed by Nana Otubea II, Paramount Queen Mother of the Nkonya Traditional Council and President of the Association, labeled the incident as ‘very unfortunate.’ The association urged the public to refrain from blaming the victims, emphasizing that such situations could happen to anyone due to inevitable mistakes.
The statement underscored the importance of prioritizing the mental health and well-being of the affected individuals during this challenging time. It also advised women to be cautious about their associations, reminding them that ‘all that glitters is not gold.’
On behalf of the association, Nana Otubea encouraged the public to approach discussions and handling of such matters with restraint, empathy, and caution.
