Post: Sallah: COAS Wife Leads Humanitarian Outreach, Supports Military Families

Abuja: Mrs Safiyyah Shaibu, President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), has in the spirit of Sallah, led a humanitarian outreach to support military families and widows in the Federal Capital Territory. This initiative was aimed at bringing relief and support to beneficiaries as part of the activities marking the Sallah celebration.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the outreach was organized by NAOWA and included the distribution of relief materials and welfare packages to military families. Capt. Jemila Jimoh, the Liaison Officer of NAOWA, highlighted that the outreach was designed to extend compassion to families within military communities and beyond, emphasizing the significance of love and generosity during Sallah.

Mrs Shaibu emphasized that Sallah is a time for sacrifice and compassion. She reaffirmed NAOWA’s commitment to promoting social welfare, uplifting lives, and strengthening unity through sustained humanitarian programs. She also stated that the association will continue to prioritize initiatives that support members of the Nigerian Army Soldiers’ Wives Association (NASWA) and families of fallen heroes.

The NAOWA president encouraged all Nigerians to embrace empathy, peaceful coexistence, and selfless service, especially during festive periods. The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, and the event underscored NAOWA’s ongoing role in providing support systems for military families and fostering community impact.
