Abuja: Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged estate developers to adhere to regulatory standards, maintain professionalism in title documentation, and ensure quality construction and estate management. Shettima made the call at the groundbreaking of Summit Estate Global in Apo Dutse, Abuja.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the project was organised by Summit Estate Global Ltd. and Homadil Realty Ltd. Shettima was represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Legal and Compliance, Mr Bashir Maidugu, who emphasized that the event represented more than just a residential project. He described it as a vision anchored on structured urban growth, responsible investment, and modern community living in the Federal Capital Territory.
Shettima commended the promoters and technical partners for their foresight and commitment which brought the project to its current stage. He highlighted that real estate development requires not only capital but also patience, discipline, regulatory compliance, and confidence in the future. He noted that Summit Estate Global stands as evidence of such confidence.
Shettima remarked that Abuja continues to evolve as a dynamic capital city, serving not only as the seat of government but also as a center of commerce, diplomacy, and innovation. He pointed out that planned estates like Summit Estate Global help reduce pressure on overstretched districts, encourage organized land use, and enhance the city’s overall aesthetics and functional profile. He urged developers to adhere to regulatory standards and maintain high levels of professionalism in title documentation, construction quality, and estate management.
The Vice President stressed the importance of housing to national stability and pointed out that Federal Government reforms are strengthening fiscal stability, improving the investment climate, and unlocking productive sectors, including construction and real estate. He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for responsible private sector participation in infrastructure and housing development.
Dr. Rebecca Godwin-Isaac, the Chief Executive Officer of Homadil Realty Ltd., spoke about the project, describing it as a reflection of innovation, quality, and commitment to premium housing delivery in the territory. She highlighted that Summit Estate Global is a thoughtfully planned development comprising 100 units of fully detached duplexes, optic bedroom duplexes, 50 units of semi-detached duplexes, blocks of flats, shopping malls, and other amenities.
Dr. Godwin-Isaac extended appreciation to the Federal Capital Development Authority under the leadership of Minister Nyesom Wike for his commitment to the development of the FCT. She also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his leadership, which has ushered in unprecedented growth, particularly in the FCT, and for his commitment to national renewal through reforms and decisive leadership.
Representatives of partner construction firms, including the Chief Executive Officer of J.I Construct Ltd., Mr. Issac Yusuf, Valentino Resources, and Tadas Okwonko, highlighted their roles in executing the project and pledged adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.
