Abuja: The Permanent Secretary of the State House, Mr. Temitope Fashedemi, announced that the State House achieved a remarkable 99.99 percent performance in its 2025 overhead budget.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Fashedemi revealed this impressive budgetary accomplishment during a session on Wednesday, where he defended the 2025 budget performance and the 2026 budget proposals before the Senate Committee on Special Duties at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja. He expressed his gratitude to the committee members for the opportunity to evaluate the previous year’s budget performance and discuss the upcoming year’s budgetary allocations.

Fashedemi also extended his appreciation on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the State House management team. The State House budget encompasses seven key cost centres, which include the offices of the President and Vice-President, the Chief of Staff, Chief Security Officer, the Medical Centre, the Lagos Office, and Operations Headquarters. These areas demonstrated commendable overhead budget performance, as highlighted by Fashedemi.

He further elaborated that the overhead budget for 2025 amounted to N21.348 billion and nearly the entire sum was released, resulting in the exceptional performance rate. Additionally, Fashedemi mentioned that the 2025 capital budget was approximately N46.9 billion, and the State House had the authority to incur expenditure for about 30 percent on the capital allocation. However, he noted that the State House had not yet accessed any of the capital funds at the time of the budget defense.
