Post: TAJBank Secures A1 Credit Ratings from Agusto and Datapro

Abuja: TAJBank Limited, one of Nigeria’s foremost non-interest banking services providers, has earned an A1 ranking from Agusto and Co and Datapro rating agencies. The bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hamid Joda, disclosed this in a statement, highlighting the achievement as a significant milestone in the credit risk and operational resilience assessment scorecards, positioning it among the best-rated in the nation’s Non-Interest Banking (NIB) sector.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the recent ratings represent an improvement from the Bbb+ rating awarded by Agusto and Co approximately two years ago. This upgrade is attributed to TAJBank’s high-quality balance sheet and robust earnings ratios during the financial year 2025. Despite the challenging economic conditions in the country, TAJBank has effectively leveraged its operational efficiency and customer-focused services to achieve this recognition.

Joda emphasized that the improved rating demonstrates TAJBank’s prioritization of risk management and operational controls with a focus on quality processes, management, and administration lifecycle. The ratings validate the management’s commitment to world-class standardization in bank operations, particularly through innovative, real-time, technology-driven services and risk management tailored for their growing customer base.

He further stated that the primary goal of TAJBank is to deploy world-class operational standards and services to protect customer interests, exceed their expectations, and maintain a leading position in the NIB subsector. Joda assured customers, investors, and stakeholders of the safety of their investments and the bank’s readiness to support their business growth and socio-economic wellbeing.

In addition, the bank’s Executive Director, Mr. Sherif Idi, remarked that the A1 ratings reaffirm TAJBank’s commitment to best practice standards through prioritization of investment in human capital, innovative technologies, and branch network expansion.
